A new Rasmussen poll finds Louisiana Sen. David Vitter continues to poll over 50% and leads Democratic Rep. Charlie Melancon by 18 points. The survey (June 24, 500 LV, MoE +/- 4.5%) was conducted after news broke that in 2008 a Senate aide to Vitter was charged with attacking his ex-girlfriend with a knife, but this poll shows nothing has changed.
