More Bad News For Etheridge

SurveyUSA conducted a poll, commissioned by the  conservative Civitas Institute, in North Carolina's Second District and finds that the videotape of Bob Etheridge's altercation with a pair of videographers has definitely taken a toll on his numbers.  Fully 84% of the respondents had seen or heard about the videotape, and a near-majority said it made them less likely to support Etheridge in the fall, including 48% of Independents.

On the head-to-head numbers, Ellmers leads Etheridge 39%-38%, with 13% heading to for the Libertarian.  It is obviously awful news for an incumbent to be polling at 38% against an unknown candidate like Ellmers.
