NBC/WSJ Poll: Obama Slips to 53%

New NBC News/WSJ poll mirros the downward trend for Obama that we've seen in other polls. Obama's job approval in the current poll stands at 53/40, which is a nine point decline from the survey last month (56/34).
Other notables from the poll:
49% approve of the way Obama is handling the economy, 44% disapprove. That's much narrower than the 51/38 rating he had in June.
Only 41% approve of the way Obama is handling health care, while 46% disapprove.
On foreign policy, Obama's approval ratings improved slightly to 57% from 54% last month.
Congress's job approval is a dismal 24%, with 63% disapproving. That's a an 11 point negative shift from last month, when 29% approved and 57% disapproved.
Democrats lead the generic ballot question by 7 points, 46 to 39.
