A new PPP poll finds Illinois Atty. Gen. Lisa Madigan (D) leading Democratic opponents in hypothetical gubernatorial and Senate primary contests. While she appears to be leaning toward a run for governor, she currently holds a larger lead in a Senate primary.

Without Madigan included, Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias leads Rep. Jan Schakowsky and Sen. Roland Burris in a three-person race, and he would crush Burris by 29 points if the primary includes just the two of them. Madigan leads Gov. Pat Quinn by 16 points in a gubernatorial primary.
