The GOP's Cao Tipping

The Republican responsible for knocking indicted Louisiana Congressman Bill Jefferson out of the House -- Anh "Joseph" Cao -- continues to receive extensive publicity, including a profile in the Sunday edition of the New York Times, as well as a front-page story today in the Washington Post.

This hype was initiated by the GOP itself, with House Minority Leader John Boehner distributing a memo Sunday night titled, "The Future is Cao." Despite Jefferson's legal troubles, Cao's 49.6%-46.8% victory Saturday in the heavily-Democratic, New Orleans-based 2nd District was one of the most surprising of the election season.

Politico also delves into this phenomenon in a story today.
