"Obama, McCain Agree on 'Change' For Washington" (Laura Meckler, Wall Street Journal) - President-elect Barack Obama and Sen. John McCain met Monday to discuss ways they potentially could work together on such issues as immigration, climate change and the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay.

"Congress Set to Question Paulson, Bernanke" (Jeannine Aversa, AP) - The two top salesmen for a $700 billion financial bailout are in for a grilling by Capitol Hill lawmakers just one week after the administration officially ditched the original strategy behind the rescue.

"Kennedy Returns to the Senate" (Susan Milligan, Boston Globe) - A beaming Senator Edward M. Kennedy returned to work in Washington yesterday, exactly six months after confronting a grave threat to his health, and declared himself ready to help lead an aggressive push for healthcare reform.
