Palin has an 83% favorable rating among Republicans, according to new data from Gallup. Overall her favorable rating is at just 48%, but that's an improvement from the 42% favorable rating Gallup had for her on Election Day. Only 21% of Democrats view her favorably and 44% of Independents.
Similarly, the title of Gallup's article, "No Clamoring for Palin to Become National Political Figure," doesn't quite tell the full story. 76% of Republicans do want to see Palin become (or, perhaps, remain) a national political figure, while only 20% of Democrats and 43% of Independents feel the same way.
All in all, not much new here: opinions of Palin remain sharply divided along partisan lines, and while her image appears to have improved marginally in the days following the election, she'll probably remain a polarizing figure in the years ahead.
