AP Calls Race For Coleman

As Kyle noted, the MN Senate race will go to a recount, but the AP has called it for Coleman:

At 7a.m. Wednesday morning, 762 votes separated Sen. Norm Coleman and Al Franken in the U.S. Senate race in Minnesota, with 99 percent of precincts reporting.

With only one precinct unreported, the Associated Press declared Coleman a winner Wednesday morning.

"Let me be clear, this race is too close to call," Franken said Wednesday morning."

Franken said a mandatory recount will begin as soon as possible. A recount will be held if the margin of votes is less than 15,000. The last time a recount was needed in a Minnesota election was 1962.
