Today the McCain campaign, on a conference call with reporters, continued to press the Obama campaign on its candidate's ties to the organization ACORN. In light of recent investigations and allegations into ACORN's voter-registration effort, McCain campaign manager Rick Davis asked the Obama campaign to come clean about its contribution of $830,000 to ACORN.
"We believe these are important, historic elections and nothing should mar the outcome of the election cycle," said Davis.
With his answer explaining his relationship to ACORN, Obama has created a "fog around the issue," said Davis. "Unless they think there is a problem with this relationship with ACORN, why wouldn't they come clean?"
