Quinnipiac Battleground Polls

New Quinnipiac/WSJ/Washingtonpost.com polls show Obama with solid leads and over the fifty percent mark in four battleground states. Obama leads by 9 in Colorado, 16 in Michigan, 11 in Minnesota, and 17 in Wisconsin. All surveys were completed October 8-12. Details on sample sizes and margin of error are after the jump.
Colorado

Obama leads by 5.2% in the RCP Average for Colorado.
Michigan
Obama 54 (-1 vs. last poll Oct 3-7)

Obama leads by 10.5% in the RCP Average for Michigan.
Minnesota
Obama 51 (nc vs. last poll Oct 3-7)

Obama leads by 8.7% in the RCP Average for Minnesota.
Wisconsin
Obama 54 (+3 vs. last poll Oct 3-7)

Obama leads by 10.4% in the RCP Average for Wisconsin.
Senate Polls
CO: Udall (D) 54, Schaffer (R) 40, Undecided 6
MN: Franken (DFL) 38, Coleman (R) 36, Barkley (I) 18, Undecided 8
Other notables from the surveys: President Bush's job approval rating is 27% in Colorado, 23% in Michigan, and 21% in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Obama holds double digit leads over McCain on who voters believe "better understands the economy," and voters in each state clearly thought Obama showed "more effective leadership in dealing with the financial crisis" than McCain.
From October 3 – 7, Quinnipiac University surveyed:
• 997 Colorado likely voters with a margin of error of +/- 3.1 percent;
• 1,122 Michigan likely voters with a margin of error of +/- 2.9 percent;
• 1,076 Minnesota likely voters with a margin of error of +/- 3 percent;
• 1,081 Wisconsin likely voters with a margin of error of +/- 3 percent.
From October 8 – 12, Quinnipiac University surveyed:
• 1,088 Colorado likely voters with a margin of error of +/- 3 percent;
• 1,043 Michigan likely voters with a margin of error of +/- 3 percent;
• 1,019 Minnesota likely voters with a margin of error of +/- 3.1 percent;
• 1,201 Wisconsin likely voters with a margin of error of +/- 2.8 percent.
