LAT/Bloomberg & NBC/WSJ: Obama w/Small Leads

Two new national surveys out this evening show Barack Obama with small leads over John McCain.

The Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg national poll (Sept. 19-22, MoE +/- 3.0%) shows Barack Obama leading John McCain by two points among registered voters (46-44) and four points among likely voters (49-44). The results among registered voters is identical to the LAT/Bloomberg's last poll in mid-August, which showed a 45-43 Obama lead. There was no likely voter number included in the last survey.

The Wall St. Journal/NBC News survey (Sept 19-22, MoE +/- 3.0%) shows Obama leading McCain by two points, 48 to 46. That's virtually unchanged from the last WSJ/NBC News survey two weeks ago showing Obama with a one point lead, 46 to 45.

Overall, Obama leads by 3.5% in the RCP National Average.
