FOX Poll: Obama +6

New Fox News/Opinion Dynamics survey shows Barack Obama taking a 6-point lead over John McCain, erasing a three-point deficit just three weeks ago:

Obama 45 (+3 vs. last poll September 8-9)
McCain 39 (-6)
Undecided 13 (+3)

Obama leads by 3.7% in the updated RCP National Average.

Of note: The poll shows a big 20-point swing among Independents, with many shifting back to the "undecided" column. Coming out of the Republican convention, McCain had a 15-point lead among Independents (46 to 31, with 15% undecided). In the current survey it's now a five point lead for Obama (36 to 31, with 29% undecided). In August, before running mates were announced, Independents were evenly divided in the Fox Poll, 31% for Obama and 30% for McCain with 28% undecided.
