VA Poll: McCain +9

McCain leads Obama by 9 points in a new Christopher Newport Univ. poll in Virginia (Sept. 10-14, 500 RV, MoE +/- 4.4%). This poll contrasts with three other Virginia polls released over the last three days showing either the race tied or Obama leading.

McCain now leads by 1.4 points in the RCP Average for Virginia
The poll also showed Mark Warner (D) with a large lead over Jim Gilmore (R) in the Senate race, in keeping with other polls for the race.
