Nat'l Poll: Obama +2

The new Reuters/Zogby national poll has Obama leading McCain by 2 points (Sept. 11-13, 1008 LV, MoE +/- 3.1%), a 7-point turn-around since the last poll taken in mid-August. Both candidates shored up support within their respective parties since the last poll -- 89% of Democrats now support Obama (+15%) and 89% of Republicans now support McCain (+8%).

Obama 47 (+6 vs. last poll, Aug. 14-16)
McCain 45 (-1)

Today's tracking polls: Obama takes the lead in the Gallup (47%-45%) after trailing McCain for more than a week; for the fourth day in a row, Obama leads the Diageo/Hotline (45%-42%); and McCain leads the Rasmussen (48%-47%) for the sixth day in a row, with the last two by just 1 point.

McCain now leads the RCP National Average by 0.6 of a point
