NJ Poll: Obama +3

CLAREMONT, CA - Quinnipiac is out with a new poll in New Jersey (Sept 10-14, 1,187 LV, MoE +/- 2.8%) showing John McCain closing the gap on Barack Obama:

Obama 48 (-3 vs. last poll Aug 13)
McCain 45 (+4)

Overall Obama now leads by 5.3% in the RCP Average for New Jersey.

Other notables in the poll: 48% of Republicans say the choice of Sarah Palin makes them more likely to vote for John McCain. 32% of Democrats said the same thing about Joe Biden and Barack Obama. 26% say it is "very likely" or "somewhat likely" that they will change their mind about who they'll vote for based on the outcome of the Presidential debates.

The economy is far and away the top issue for NJ voters (53%) and Obama holds a five-point advantage over McCain, 48 to 43.
