Breaking: Palin Can't Run Hewlett Packard!

McCain advisor Carly Fiorina was on a radio show today when this exchange occurred:

"Do you think [Palin] has the experience to run a major company, like Hewlett Packard?" Fiorina was asked on a St. Louis radio show.

"No, I don't," Fiorina said without further explanation.

"I would just remind you that it is Barack Obama who is running for president," Fiorina said. "Sarah Palin has more experience than Barack Obama has."

"I find it quite stunning actually that the Barack Obama campaign is questioning Sarah Palin's experience," the McCain adviser added. "She has more executive experience than he does and she is the vice presidential nominee and he is the presidential nominee."

A number of folks on the left seem to think this is some huge gaffe -- an inadvertent admission from Fiorina that Palin isn't qualified. Now while I agree that Fiorina should probably not be giving Palin's critics any ammunition, this is a silly thing to attack, since when did corporate experience suddenly translate into political experience? There are many boards out there that wouldn't give Palin the reins, but nor would they likely give them to Obama or McCain. At the same time, Palin would probably be higher on the list than the other two since she has, you know, run a state.
