Clinton on 2nd Tour of Duty

After admirably doing her duty at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Hillary Clinton was dispatched to Florida yesterday to stump for Obama, though she refrained from attacking Sarah Palin directly:

Leading an evening rally in Tampa, Mrs. Clinton drew applause for a line that she used at two events earlier Monday in the Orlando area, a version of which she also used at the Democratic convention, before Senator John McCain chose Ms. Palin as his running mate.

"No way, no how, no McCain - no Palin!" Mrs. Clinton declared.

After someone in the audience yelled, "Tell us about Palin," Mrs. Clinton replied: "I don't think that's what this election is about. Anybody who believes that the Republicans, whoever they are, can fix the mess they created probably believes that the iceberg could have saved the Titanic."

According to the new CBS News survey, Obama has increased his support among Hillary voters to 74%, up from 63% before the Democratic convention. However, the number of Hillary supporters indicating they will vote for McCain in November did not show a corresponding decrease. Before the two conventions 20% said they were voting McCain. After the conventions, that number stands at 18%.
