A new SurveyUSA poll in Virginia shows McCain leading Obama by 2 points (Sept. 5-7, 717 LV, MoE +/- 3.7%), virtually no change since mid-August. A Rasmussen poll released today showed McCain and Obama with exactly the same numbers.

McCain leads by 0.7 of a point in the RCP Average for Virginia

SurveyUSA also released Virginia Senate poll results, which showed former Gov. Mark Warner (D) leading former Gov. Jim Gilmore (R) by 21 points.

Warner 56 (-2 vs. last poll, Aug. 8-10)
Gilmore 35 (+1)

Warner now leads the Senate race by 23.3 points in the RCP Average for Virginia
