On the Morning Shows
Morning Joe - David Axelrod, on McCain's criticism that Obama hasn't challenged his party: "First of all, let me say, it is an interesting thing coming from John McCain who every report tells us wanted to pick Joe Lieberman or Tom Ridge, but was whistled off of that by the right wing of his own party, and had to scramble and pick someone else, because he was afraid to challenge his own party."
On the Palin pick: "He didn't pick the people he wanted to pick ... Here's a guy who's been in lock step with George Bush ... and says he wants to continue those policies... We still don't know what the verdict in Gov. Palin. We really don't know that much about her. ... We do know this, there's an ongoing investigation up there."
