Mixed Reviews from the Fox Team

Not so much on whether it was a good, even great, speech. But did Hillary do what she needed to do for Barack Obama?

Bill Kristol: "A shockingly minimal endorsement of Obama. She mentions him ten times and every mention, with the partial exception of one, was a generic, could have been applied to any of the other Democrats that ran for president."

Mort Kondracke: "She said what she had to say, but she didn't say any more. She said that Michelle Obama will be a great First Lady; she never said that Barack Obama will be a great president of the United States."

Nina Easton: "I thought for her own political future, it was a really smart speech. ... I thought it was fine for Obama; she did what she had to do."

Fred Barnes: "Mort said he didn't think the Obama people will complain. Yeah, I bet they will complain. Maybe not publicly, but they're going to be disappointed in this."
