Obama Launching Battleground Tour on Sat

Chicago, IL – Today, the Obama campaign announced that Senator Barack Obama will kick off his trip to the Democratic National Convention on Saturday, August 23, 2008 with an event at the Old State Capitol in Springfield, Illinois, where Obama officially announced his campaign for president on February 10, 2007.
Senator Obama will also make stops next week in several battleground states before arriving in Denver. Additional details will be announced as soon as they become available.
So will Saturday be the day of the VP announcement? Or will it come sooner, as has been reported?
