TIME Poll: Obama +5, But Facing Trouble?

A new TIME national poll (July 31-August 4, 808 LV, MoE +/- 3%) shows Obama with a 5-point lead over McCain, when undecided leaners are included. In the last poll taken in June, Obama's lead was about the same at 4 points.

But, as the magazine notes, while voters feel Obama is the most likeable (65%-20%), is the candidate for change (61%-17%) and who they are "very enthusiastic" about (49%-21%), his support lags when it comes to policy questions like the economy (he leads 43%-39%), managing Iraq (McCain leads 51%-36%) and handling the war on terror (McCain leads 56%-29%).

Obama 46 (-1 vs. last poll, June 19-25)
McCain 41 (-2)

Obama leads by 3.1 points in the RCP National Average
