Nat'l Poll: Obama +5

A new Democracy Corps national poll (July 21-24, 1,004 LV) shows Obama with a 5-point lead over McCain, 50-45. When only respondents from 18 battleground states are included (735 LV), the margin decreases to just a 1-point edge for Obama (48%-47%). With Bob Barr and Ralph Nader included in the candidate list, Obama's lead grows by 1 point, 49%-43%.

On other topics of interest, 78% think things in the country are on the wrong track and 16% think things are moving in the right direction. Pres. Bush received a 29%/65% approval-disapproval rating.
