Burner Aiming For Middle Class Voters

Darcy Burner, a Harvard-educated former Microsoft executive now running for Congress in Washington's 8th District, is trying to win over the middle-class voters she lost in her 2006 race against GOP Rep. Dave Reichert, the Seattle Times writes.
Burner and her husband, also a former Microsoft executive, are living off of their savings while she runs for Congress so he can be with their young son full time. While such a situation doesn't compute with the middle class, Burner's childhood -- she was raised with four siblings on one teacher's salary -- does.
As Burner aims to relate more to the middle class this time around, she is not turning her back on her liberal netroots supporters who have supported her congressional aspirations since 2005. Burner and her "Responsible Plan To End The War In Iraq" were lauded at the Netroots Nation convention held in Austin over the weekend.
While in Austin, Burner sat down with RealClearPolitics and explained why she thinks she'll be able to defeat Reichert this time.
