Will McCain Get Hillary's Women?

The campaign is certainly making an effort on this front, as this morning McCain adviser Carly Fiorina appeared on Fox and Friends and asked Hillary's women supporters to "take a look at John McCain."
Well, they might take a look, but does McCain have a realistic shot of getting them? As George Will writes in Newsweek, "When the fact that he is [pro-life] becomes well publicized, and Democrats will make sure it is, Clinton's female supporters will stop sulking in their tents and will rally round Obama."
Most of the Democrats out there disgruntled at Obama's victory will eventually come home. But of those few who might not, I think Hillary's women supporters will be the least likely to defect. There's not only the abortion issue, there's also the war and Michelle Obama, who I think will emerge in her own right as a magnet for Hillary's women.
But on the abortion front, McCain will surely be at an extreme disadvantage. McCain can't reach out to evangelicals as well as liberal women and hope to get both.
