Oregon Super Goes For Obama

Oregon Rep. David Wu has announced his support for Obama. The five-term congressman represents downtown Portland, as well as the city's western suburbs, including all of populous Washington County. Wu's now the second Oregon superdelegate to announce for Obama, following 3rd-district Rep. Earl Blumenauer. Gov. Ted Kulongoski and Rep. Darlene Hooley have both endorsed Clinton.

Following West Virginia's May 13 primary, Oregon and Kentucky will vote May 20. Oregon has 52 pledged delegates, one more than Kentucky. The state has not had an influential presidential primary since 1948, when Harold Stassen's presidential hopes were ended there by Thomas Dewey.
