Nat'l Poll: Obama +3

A new AP/Ipsos national Democratic primary poll shows the separation between Obama and Clinton within the margin of error (April 7-9, 489 Dem LV, MoE +/- 4.4%). Both candidates' numbers were exactly the same in the last poll taken (Feb. 22-24).

Obama leads by 6.6 points in the RCP Nat'l Average

In the poll's general election matchups, Clinton leads McCain 48%-45%, while Obama and McCain are tied at 45%. There was little change in Clinton and McCain's numbers since the last poll (Feb. 22-24), while Obama's 48%-42% lead over McCain disappeared.

Obama leads McCain by 0.6 of a point and McCain leads Clinton by 1.6 points in the RCP Nat'l General Election Avgs.
