Labour Losing Support

After trailing the Conservative Party by a slim 3 points in last month's poll, Labour's support in the latest Guardian/ICM poll is now at 29%, tied for the lowest mark its received since the poll began in 1984. It was also at 29% in March of last year, three months before Prime Minister Tony Blair stepped down.
The Tories now lead Labour by 13 points.
Alistair Darling, Britain's Chancellor of the Exchequer, recently released a "deliberately dull budget." The poll results suggest this plan has backfired, and public support has risen for the Tories out of economic trust.
