Dems Won't Vote Again In Florida

The Florida Democratic Party announced in the last hour that a second primary will not be held, a number of outlets have reported. It remains to be seen what this means for Florida's delegates and their chances of being seated at the Democratic convention.
In Michigan, it appeared earlier today that a primary could be well on its way to being approved. But Marc Ambinder brings up an interesting point that could turn into a major snag. Under the rules of the new primary tentatively scheduled for June 3, no one who voted in the January 15 Republican primary can vote in the new Democratic primary. As Ambinder notes, exit polls showed that about one-third of the GOP primary voters were Democrats and independents, and many of them likely were Obama supporters. Because of this the Obama campaign is unlikely to sign off on the deal.
