Obama Scores Greg Oden

Because of a knee injury, the first pick in the 2007 NBA Draft has yet to hit the basketball court this year, but he's clearly finding ways to keep himself busy.

Former Ohio State basketball star Greg Oden endorsed Barack Obama today. On his personal blog, the 20-year-old first-time voter described a short telephone conversation the two had and his reasoning behind the decision. The Obama campaign states on its website that Oden will participate in voter turnout efforts in Indiana, where Oden grew up; Oregon, where he plays for the Portland Trailblazers; and Ohio, where he took the Buckeyes to the national championship in his only college season.
