I've gotten word that stressed out Clinton staffers have been secretly circulating pictures of "undressed" Obama in hopes it will undermine his candidacy:

Seriously, who knows what to make of this story? Did the picture really come from Clinton staffers? Or did it come from somewhere else, allowing David Plouffe's righteous response to the photo to overshadow news of Clinton's big foreign policy speech and to trump news of Louis Farrakhan's unwelcome yet ringing endorsement of Barack Obama? There are so many different ways to peel this onion, I'm pretty sure we'll never know where the photo came from and who he or she was trying to help - or hurt.
UPDATE: Maggie Williams responds: "If Barack Obama's campaign wants to suggest that a photo of him wearing traditional Somali clothing is divisive, they should be ashamed. Hillary Clinton has worn the traditional clothing of countries she has visited and had those photos published widely."
So is this a smear or not?
