Head-to-Head Polls: McCain Tops Dems In Swing States

In SurveyUSA general election matchup polls conducted in six states, McCain was the only Republican to beat either Obama or Clinton in any of the states. The two Democrats beat Romney, Giuliani and Huckabee in each state.

The six states were California, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Mexico, New York and Wisconsin.

McCain beat both Clinton and Obama in Minnesota, New Mexico and Wisconsin. All three are swing states that were decided by 3 points or less in the last two presidential elections. McCain also bested Obama in Massachusetts, meaning he topped Obama in 4 out of 6 states.
