SC Poll: Obama +12

NASHUA, NH - There's been lots of speculation about how much Obama's victory in Iowa (and what looks like a pending victory here in New Hampshire tomorrow) would influence future primary states - particularly South Carolina. Well, we finally have our first peek at some post Iowa numbers coming out of the Palmetto State.

According to a new Rasmussen survey (Jan 6, 553 Dem LV, MoE +/-4.0%), Barack Obama now leads Hillary Clinton by 12 points in South Carolina:

Obama 42 (+9 vs. last poll Dec 16)
Clinton 30 (-3)
Edwards 14 (-3)

There is another poll coming out in under an hour that will show Obama with an even greater lead over Clinton in South Carolina.
