Gordo Hits New Low

A brief time out from the '08 race to note that a new YouGov/Telegraph poll in Britain shows PM Gordon Brown with his lowest approval rating ever. Only 24% say they are "satisfied" with his performance during his first 6 months in office, while 60% are "dissatisfied." Meanwhile, Tory leader David Cameron's approval ratings have hit a new high of 47%.

Additionally, the Tories hold a twelve point lead over Labor, meaning that if the elections were held today we'd have PM David Cameron with a "working majority" in the House of Commons. The Lib Dems have also gotten a boost up to 16% in the new poll, a five point increase since October.

In sum, things have gone about as badly as possible for Gordon Brown thus far during his brief tenure in office.
