New CNN/Opinion Research poll of South Carolina (Dec 9-12) showing Obama closing in on Clinton and Huckabee surging into the lead for the Republicans:
Democrats
Clinton 42 (+3 vs. last poll in July)
Obama 34 (+9)
Edwards 16 (+1)
Clinton's lead in the RCP Average for South Carolina is 2.2%.
Republicans
Huckabee 24 (+21 vs. last poll in July)
Thompson 17 (-1)
Giuliani 16 (-14)
Romney 16 (+10)
McCain 13 (-8)
Paul 11 (+9)
Huckabee leads by 7.6% in the RCP Average for South Carolina.
