The left is trying to make hay of this video of John McCain, as is one of his Republican rivals whose campaign just blasted out the clip via email. As you'll see, a woman supporter asks McCain "how do we beat the bitch?" at which point McCain jokingly asks for "the translation" before saying, "that's an excellent question."

The implication of those pimping the video is that by calling it "an excellent question" McCain is somehow endorsing the woman's language, but he quickly follows that remark by telling the crowd 1) that he's ahead of Clinton in a recent general election poll and 2) that he very much respects Mrs. Clinton and anyone else who might win the Democratic nomination.
