Allen Not Done Yet?

He was supposed to be a front-runner for president this year. Thanks to Sen. Jim Webb, a kid named S.R. Siddharth and President Bush's tanking approval ratings, former Senator George Allen is instead guest-hosting a morning show on WRVA-Richmond, where last week he, like the rest of the political media, tried to get former Senator Fred Thompson to say when he'll jump in the presidential race.

Allen's website, GeorgeAllen.com, is updated on a near-daily basis, under the auspices of Allen's Good Government Action Fund. Allen posts travel dispatches from around the state, articles he wants to highlight (most recently an op-ed against a new gas tax by U.S. Transportation Secretary Mary Peters) and comments about past and upcoming appearances.

One poster, called the A-Team (the administrator, we assume), is not shy about posting clips that suggest the former senator is on his way back to the top. Allen has not batted down any suggestions that he will again seek the governor's mansion, to which he was elected in 1993.
