AMES -- Dozens of voters lined up at the three polling locations around the ISU campus in anticipation of the moment when polls open, at 10am. Hundreds had already arrived, decked out in their favorite candidates' t-shirts. Our guess: More free t-shirts will be given out today than any other day of the year.

One bit of news as the polls open: Carol Paul, wife of Ron Paul, fell ill this morning and remains in a Des Moines hospital. A campaign statement said she appears to have stabilized. Updates as events merit.
