President Bush paid tribute to the millions of victims of Communism today at the newly unveiled Victims of Communism Memorial before heading to Capitol Hill for lunch with Republican senators asking them to support the immigration bill.

From the accuser to the accused: Durham, N.C., District Attorney Mike Nifong was in court today for charges of violating state rules on professional conduct stemming from his handling of the Duke lacrosse case.

Two pickups today for Fred Thompson: Stephen Hayes is reporting that Liz Cheney, the Veep's daughter, has signed on as a foreign-policy aide, while Giuliani critic and well-known conservative consultant Nelson Warfield has also joined.

Thompson will also be appearing on the Tonight Show, er, tonight.

John Edwards says he will accept the G8 Challenge, which calls for the United States to work with other nations to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2050. Edwards is also trumpeting the fact that he now has signed up county leaders for all of Iowa's 99 counties.
