The GOP's money blues continue. Carl Hulse reports Senate Dems doubled up the GOP in fund raising in April, $4.6 million to $2.1 million. Year-to-date totals are also two-to-one: Dems $18.3 million, GOP $9.1 million - though the Dems have $5 million of debt while Republicans are debt free.
With so many seats in play next year, this has to be a disturbing trend for Republicans. But you can expect it continue, at least in the short term. I seriously doubt the cash is going to start pouring in to the NRSC's coffers after last week's news of the Senate's grand compromise on immigration reform.
