David Kranz of the Sioux Falls Argus Leader reports on a recent visit by Senator Johnson's longtime friend, Tony Dean.

Dean told Kranz that, "Mentally, Tim was on the top of his game. He still can't use his right arm or leg, has to learn to talk again, but most of the time I was there I could understand him. I thought he looked great."

Dean also added, "My honest opinion, he plans to be in the Senate sooner than most people expect."
