It's Veto Time

On a conference call about an hour ago Tony Snow announced that President Bush will be issuing a statement outlining the reasons for his veto of the Iraq supplemental at 6:10pm Eastern. Snow said the White House will formally transmit the President's veto to Congress tomorrow morning. Shortly thereafter the House is expected to bring it up for a vote and the veto will be sustained.

Later tomorrow afternoon, after all the drama of the veto is over, the White House is hosting another meeting for leaders of both the House and the Senate to discuss moving forward on a new version of the supplemental that Congress can pass and the President can sign.
