Republican Senator Ted Stevens was rightly lampooned for his simplistic description of the internet as a series of "tubes," so Barack Obama's reputation as a smart, savvy guy has to come under fire for this laugher on Larry King last night about the Hillary 1984 ad running on YouTube:

But it's not something that we had anything to do with or were aware of and that frankly, given what it looks like, we don't have the technical capacity to create something like that. It's pretty extraordinary. [emphasis added]

The Obama campaign doesn't have the "technical capacity" to dub an old commercial and superimpose Hillary's face on a screen and their logo on a woman's t-shirt? What do they have, five hamsters on wheels powering the campaign?
