In Australia, Morris Iemma, the Premier of New South Wales, has challenged radical Islamic cleric Sheik Taj Aldin Alhilali - who made news not so long ago for referring to Aussie women in bathing suits as "uncovered meat" - to stop running his mouth and stand for office. Iemma said the Sheik has:

"made it clear where he stands - he doesn't like Australia, he doesn't like Australians.

So, if he wants a challenge with those values, I say bring it on."

Iemma added that a run by the Sheik would be "an opportunity for decent, right-thinking people of that community to reject the lunacy that he's put up."
